Saija Heinonen (Chaos Le Fairee) is versatile queer artist and a dancer, with indian as the main dance style. Saija has been deeply invested in indian dance styles and culture in the past 15 years and have experience from bollywood to folk dances like kuthu, dandiya, garba, bhangra and in the past years kalbeliya, ghoomar and chari dance from Rajasthan. They perform also as a part of the dance group Nach Baliye Indian Dance. Saija is known for their very expressive dancing style and enchanting, wild energy when performing.

This time – for Uma Obscura – Saija will bring to the stage kalbeliya dance which is folk dance of kalbeliya tribe from deserts of Rajasthan. Kalbeliya dance is known from it’s snake inspired movement and costume, captivating twirling, different kinds of tricks and powerful expression and energy.
