At Uma Obscura we will witness a collaboration between VKgoeswild and Brutal Ballet as they take on the Netherbird song ”Pillars Of The Sky” live at Idun theatre. It will be a one of a kind performance where metal ballet will fusion with metal performed on a Steinway D. Apart from this performance both VKgoeswild and Brutal Ballet will have separate shows during the festival.

På Uma Obscura kommer vi bevittna ett samarbete mellan VKgoeswild och Brutal Ballet när de tar sig an Netherbird-låten ”Pillars Of The Sky” live på Idunteatern. Det blir ett unikt framträdande där metal-balett kommer förenas med metal spelat på en Steinway D. Utöver detta framträdande kommer både VKgoeswild och Brutal Ballet att ha separata föreställningar under festivalen.

Ett möte mellan Dark Ambient-artisten Oestergaards och krAa fusion-dansaren Madeleine Holmlund. Två artister med stor integritet, som går sina egna vägar, där mötet sker i friheten av det improviserade…

There is a legend at Isle of Skye in Scotland about Scáthach, Lady of Dún Scháith, the Shadow Fort, as well as a feared and highly respected warrior. She agreed to train the Irish hero Cú Chulainn and he got from her Gae Bulg, the spear that always kills. Scáthach is the embodiment of the island itself and this performance is a homage to her and her country. Choreography and dance by Katarina Klingberg. The music is created by Robin Lilja and based on Katarina’s movements. The costume is made by Katarina to match both the music and the land.

Från Isle of Skye på Skottlands västkust kommer berättelser om Scáthach, fruktad och vördad härskarinna över Dún Scháith, Skuggfortet. Scáthach tog sig an att lära upp den irländske hjälten Cú Chulainn till fulländning och gav honom Gae Bulg, spjutet som alltid dödar. Hon förkroppsligar även själva ön där hon bor och denna föreställning är en hyllning till henne och hennes land. Katarina Klingberg har skapat koreografin och dansar, Robin Lilja har sedan komponerat musik utifrån hennes rörelser och dräkten är i sin tur skapad med inspiration av såväl landet som musiken.

All Hallow’s Eve is the witching hour of the year and naturally these dark beauties were haunting the streets. Creating art that was a part of the Shockholm Halloween parade, they immediately connected in their joined passion for dance. Brutal Ballet and Entropy daringly explore the darker sides of their styles and now they are joining forces to explore the unknown in between ballet and Tribal. Don’t miss this dark adventure that will take place during Uma Obscura.

Under Allhelgonanattens förhäxade timmar gjorde dessa mörka skönheter Stockholms gator osäkra. De möttes i ett konstnärligt arbete som en del av Shockholm Halloween-parade. De klickade omedelbart i deras förenande passion för dans. Brutal Ballet och Entropy utforskar de mörkare sidorna av sina respektive dansstilar och tillsammans möter de det okända, någonstans mellan balett och Tribal. Missa inte deras mörka äventyr som kommer att äga rum under Uma Obscura.

Three poems by Edgar Allan Poe, the themes of which would 70 years later inspire the horror master H.P. Lovecraft, come to life once more when Lina Reichwaldt’s voice meets the tones wrought by the hands of Robin Lilja from the piano. Since the beginning, Lina has participated in the festival in various manners and contributed with everything from artistic direction to DJ:ing, Robin is a classical composer and pianist with a fondness for improvisation and has also participated in the festival before. Together, they cover the Idun stage with a veil of mystique.

Tre dikter av Edgar Allan Poe, vars teman 70 år senare skulle inspirera skräckmästaren H.P. Lovecraft, kommer åter till liv när Lina Reichwaldts röst möter klangen som Robin Lilja uppbådar ur pianot. Lina har sedan begynnelsen deltagit i festivalen i olika former och bidragit med allt från konstnärlig ledning till DJ:ande. Robin är klassisk tonsättare och pianist med en förkärlek för det improvisatoriska och har tidigare medverkat i festivalen. Tillsammans drar de en slöja av mystik över Idunteatern.
