We bring you the Danish legendary act Leæther Strip! They have been around since the 80’s and are still thriving as one of the most productive and most busy live acts in the scene!
And from Germany we bring you Antibody with their signature blend of industrial, power noise, and hardstyle/hardcore music!
Leather Strip is the solo-project of the legendary Danish electronic industrial artist Claus Larsen. First signed by the German Electro Label Zoth Ommog in 1989, they quickly built a buzz as one of the most exciting emerging acts in Europe in the early 90’s.
Leæther Strip has been and still is a big inspiration to many of todays younger acts and is still one of the most productive and most busy live acts in the scene. Leæther Strip concerts are very uptempo and energetic, and he plays lots of his classic hits like ”Strap me down”, ”Dont tame your soul” and so many more.
First release 1989. ”Japanese Bodies”, and over 30 + albums has been released since then. Leæther Strip perfomances are known worldwide for their massive industrial energy and powerful stage presence. 2026 ill see 2-3 new album releases from Leæther Strip, and he will be touring all over the world to promote these albums. Leather Strip will attend Uma Obscura and Umeå for the first time!

Leather Strip är forfarande mycket produktiva och spelar live frekvent. 2026 kommer bandet släppa flera album och turnéra världen över och det är första gången Claus kommer till Umeå och Uma Obscura!

What an amazing weekend! This edition of Uma Obscura goes down in legends! Art Obscura – Dance Obscura and the many great music acts – all delivered outstanding and high quality performances! Thank you – and thank you to all our visitors – volonteers – crew – partners & sponsors – people working on and off the stages to making this festival come alive!
Uma Obscura 2025 also serves as a statement to what is possible – when given some trust and resources to the alternative subculture communities from our funders!

Residing in the shadows of Gothenburg, Kodama collective is a fusion bellydance group directed by Gita. The duo consisting of Gita and Marit is presenting a stranger side of belly dance flavoured with mysterious elegance and eerie presence.

I Göteborgs skuggsida härbergerar Kodama collective, en dansgrupp som under ledning av Gita framträder med dansstilen fusion bellydance. Duon Gita och Marit kommer under årets Uma Obscura presentera en alternativ sida av bellydance kryddad med mystisk elegans och kuslig atmosfär.
Dropout Plan is a newly formed metal band that blends hard rock, screams and clean vocals in an explosive mix of heavy genres. They gave a debut gig that left a strong impression with the audience. Even though nothing has been released yet, Dropout Plan mean to leave their mark on the Swedish metal scene!

Dropout Plan är ett nystartat metalband som blandar olika stilar av hårdrock – med skrik och sång – till en explosiv mix. Med ett starkt debutgig i ryggen har bandet snabbt gjort intryck, både på scen och i publiken. Även om inget inspelat material släppts än har bandet satt sitt mål att göra ett avtryck i den svenska metalscenen!
Emmelie works primarily with watercolor, often blending techniques such as gouache and ink to create layered expressions. Her works move within a psychedelic spectrum where portraits and emotional landscapes intertwine. Each painting emerges from a feeling in the moment, becoming a visual diary where the inner self takes physical form on paper.

Emmelie arbetar främst med akvarell, men blandar ofta tekniker som gouache och tusch för att skapa mångbottnade uttryck. Hennes verk rör sig i ett psykedeliskt färgfält där porträtt och känslolandskap smälter samman. Varje målning växer fram ur en direkt känsla i stunden och blir på så sätt en visuell dagbok, där det inre får ta fysisk form på papperet.

Cecilia like to paint with acrylic colours, also to try different techniques. She has a background in bakery and also various art educations.
Cecilia Öberg är en konstnär som gillar att måla med akryl och gillar att variera sitt skapande och testa nya tekniker. Hon är i grunden utbildad konditor, har gått kurser i bland annat glasfusning och keramik, samt har tre år på bildprogram under gymnasiet och ettårig grund på konstskola.

Tekla Andersson och Efstratios Pantakidis är en konstnärsduo verksam i Umeå, som tillsammans jobbat med offentliga performances tillsammans. De är båda utbildade arkitekter och jobbar ofta tvärkonstnärligt. Tidigare medverkat i Vindeln Cosmopolit Maskerad 2025, Vidskepnad 2024, ”Alice” på Obscura 2023 samt ”Living Exhibition” i Umeå 2023.
Experience the magic of handcrafted witch drums at Art Obscura, presented by MagaLacrima. The artist behind the brand is Sanna Vanhala, tattoo artist, fashion designer, singer (Chaos Research, Lahoava) and folkmagic witch from Ostrobotnia, Finland. She will bring her handmade, beautiful instruments with her for you to see and feel.
The drums are created with care using reindeer hide and birch plywood. Hides are hand-dyed for a unique, vibrant look. Each drum is meticulously crafted to resonate with different harmonic frequencies, bound with magic and ideal for rituals, meditation, and artistic expression. Rooted in Finnish folk traditions, the witch drum (noitarumpu) was historically used by healers and seers to connect with the spirit world for health and omens. MagaLacrima’s witch drums honor this ancient heritage.

Varje trumma är handgjord och speciellt utformad för olika frekvenser och perfekt för ritualer, meditation och olika musikaliska uttryck. Historiskt i finskt folklore användes trummorna, ”noitarumpu”, av bland annat helare för att ta kontakt med andevärlden.

EFFE stands for Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, a program initiated by the European Festivals Association (EFA) to connect and recognize arts festivals across Europe. It provides an international quality label for festivals committed to the arts and their communities and maintains a searchable database called FestivalFinder.eu to promote excellence and innovation in the European festival landscape. Supported by the European Commission and European Parliament, EFFE fosters dialogue about the arts, aiming to increase their visibility and impact.
Larva is a Spanish dark music band that, since the late 1990s have become a well known name in the electro-industrial/gothic scene. Originally conceived as an experimental project under the name Morbid Mind, the group redefined its identity in 2003, embracing a harsher, noisier, and more critical sound, while always keeping the gloomy atmosphere that characterizes the genre.
Their music combines synthesizers, electronic sequences, dense structures, and distorted vocals, all in service of powerful lyrics: social struggles, reflections on alienation, individual and collective darkness, and unease in the face of modernity.
On stage, Larva delivers striking performances: shows loaded with tension, visual projections, a frontman unafraid to break the barrier with the audience, and an atmosphere that moves between the visceral and the ritual. Sonic intensity and emotional honesty!
Their discography is extensive, with albums that showcase their sonic and lyrical evolution. The band has toured a lot and their following value their aesthetic consistency and artistic integrity.

Spanska bandet Larva har sedan slutet av 1990-talet har blivit ett välkänt namn inom den alternativa elektroniska/gotiska scenen. Det som började som ett experimentellt projekt under namnet Morbid Mind omformades 2003 fick ett tyngre och mer distinkt sound, samtidigt som den mörka atmosfären i bandets musik kvarstod. Deras musik kombinerar synthar, täta ljudmattor och förvrängd sång, starka texter om sociala frågor, alienation, individuellt och kollektivt mörker.
De är kända för starka liveframträdanden med en frontman som inte är rädd för att bryta barriären med publiken. Det är en atmosfär som rör sig mellan det viscerala och det rituella. Det är intensivt, rått och ärligt.
Larvas diskografi är omfattande och de har även turnerat mycket. Deras fans värdesätter deras starka estetik och konstnärliga integritet.

Eden is an artist from Östersund who creates colourful art of different kinds, mostly paintings using oil, acrylic or oil pastels. Eden often use strong colours in the paintings to express feelings – and like to experiment with different combinations of colours.
