We are proud to present the performers Ida & Maxx to this year’s Uma Obscura autumn edition.
Welcome to the crazy and fantastic world of these performers. They are based in Southern Germany, but their World Fusion Dance transcends multiple cultures and genres. Their art happens where a profound education in dance and cultural practices encounter a deep dedication to Metal, EBM and Industrial music, videogames, animés, cinema and literature.
In their theatrical dance productions, Ida and Maxx brought traditional Bavarian devil-summoning on stage, celebrated a corpse-mariage and built a human factory of dystopian proportions. The performance they will bring to Uma Obscura is evolving the music and philosophical questions raised in Masamune Shirow’s „Ghost in the Shell“.
Välkomna till Ida & Maxx galna och fantastiska värld! De är baserade i södra Tyskland, men deras World Fusion Dance överskrider flera kulturer och genrer. Deras konst präglas av mötet mellan en gedigen utbildning i dans och kulturell praxis och det djupa engagemanget för Metal, EBM och Industrial musik, videospel, anime, film och litteratur.
I sina tidigare teaterdansproduktioner har Ida och Maxx uppväckt den traditionella bayerska djävulen på scenen, firat bröllop mellan lik och byggt en mänsklig fabrik med dystopiska proportioner.
I framträdandet som de tar med sig till Uma Obscura kommer dom att utveckla musikaliska och de filosofiska frågor som uppkommer i Masamune Shirows ”Ghost in the Shell”.
